HS63

The Archive Room

Usually, traces disappear under the surface, under the finishing touches. For this HS63 room, the artist collective Frederic Bernier and Yann Leguay (HS63) decided to keep apparent the layers of the entire construction process, considering archeology as a vanishing point by combining time and know-how as an aesthetic choice. Revealing materials and techniques became an art statement.
In this room, guests will have access to some of the construction work reports and plans of architectural office AA Ravenstein III as well as to the archive of live recordings of the HS63 venue previously located on the premises. The cassette tapes in the room indeed represent the memory of all the concerts recorded in the former stables of the building from April 2012 to June 2014. Mirroring the musical sensibility of the shows in HS63, this room is both raw and sensuous.
